International Peace Poster Contest 2010 -11 


The peace Poster exhibition  with theme of "Vision of Peace" was held on 13th Dec 2010 at National Art Gallery, 
Colombo. Lion Bharatha Subasinghe is the chairperson who organized the project with association of Ministry of
Education, Western province. There were 600 schools participated in the Western Province and finally 126 entries
recorded for the selection. 


To honour top fifty students and three first winners, the exhibition and award ceremony was held on 13th Dec. The 
chief guest was District Governor Lion Ananda Balasooriya and Lion lady Seetha Balasooriya. Also, District Governor
306 B1 Lion Jayavathsalan, past district governor 306 B2 Lion Fazmil, government officers and several club members
and parents participated. The first Prize winner Master Poson Miranda for Mari Stella College, Negombo received
Rs 25,000 cash. Also,  2nd and 3rd winners received respectively Rs 15,000 and 10,000 cash award.
