Mega Multi service project at Iluvankulam, Puttalam 

On 4th of September 2010, mega multi service project was organized by Lions Club of Maitland, leaded by Project Chairperson President Lion Douglas Nijanthan. The venue was at Iluvankulam Muslim School, Iluvankulam and there was a total of 350 underprivileged children and over 400 people benefited from the project.

The project jointly held with support of Holcim Lanka (Puttalam Cement) and other donors. The chief guest was District Governor Lion Ananda Balasooriya and Guest of honour Mr. Pascal Pajiens (Vice President, Holcim). There were several community services conducted such as health camp, eye clinic and donation of spectacles, diabetic check up, Malaria screening, Ayurvadic clinic, dental clinic, awareness programme for pregnant mothers and career guidance for school levers and job seekers.

As a club milestone and image building project of Lion Dr. Regionolld (district chairperson), water tank for the Sinhala school was constructed and donated by our club.
