Strides walk and Diabetic awareness project at Wattala
To mark the diabetic day on 14th November 2010, Lions Club of Colombo Maitland organized a Strides Walk and Health Awareness project at Hekitta, Wattala. It includes Health & Diabetic Screening, Donation of spectacles, dental clinic and donation of school items for nursery children. The chief guest was 2nd District Vice Governor Lion Janarajan and Lion lady Umashankary.
The Project Chairpersons Lion Cornelius Lions Christy and his committee have worked closely with committee of St Lazarus Church of Hekitta. We got overwhelming turnout. The project was successfully completed with 220 Public registered for Diabetic screening, 89 Public for spectacles, 32 public for dental and 128 Public registered for the health camp.
